Asagasumi 朝霞

Asagasumi position in TCJ (1983).

The “Morning Mist”, under the lower jaw

[Kyūsho point]

Hatsumi, TCJ (1983)

アゴの処.。

Ago no sho.

Translation: Frontal jaw.

Tips from the Masters

Kühn: Also asagasu. Lower edge of the lower jaw, chin, occasionally adam's apple.

Momot: Momot does not distinguishes it from asagiri/gankotsu. Difference with Hatsumi, is that Hatsumi places it rather on the border of jaw and neck. As he talks about a cavity, it looks like a cavity between the chin and the jaw, where the nerves come out.]

Cousergue: soft part under the chin, blow directed upwards.
